6. Disturbing
These statistics are disturbing, yet they are not surprising. It just proves how important Israel is, as there is always a country Jews can turn to if need be. And #1, there was anti-semitism before the state of Israel existed. You don't even know the meaning of the word "brutal".

7. Dimwits 1&2 are case in point.
Anyone who justifies severe hate crimes against innocents by means of political reasoning, instead of making an unequivocal condemnation of these savage acts - is a brainwashed, hate-filled indvidual, and is a mere toned-down version of the dangerous anti-semetic hooligans this very article discusses.
How on earth are these idiots the first to respond to such grave article?

8. Israel's brutal policies
well then Mr Apartheid, by that same logic, you can understand why most of the world hates hates you, your family and your bloody colonial american nation.
I'd be more concerned about your own f&%$ed up foreign policies before you comment on others - who may or may not have these policies in place as a matter of necessity and the prevention of terror attacks.
your a damn hypocrite.

Because you know...it didn't exist before Isreal was created right?

11. Not surprised
Sad fact, but until the people of the Jewish community cannot respect other religions and nations, cannot respect, recognize and accept the opinion of other people, don't count for peace. The peace is always depending on two, but until the people of the Jewish community and Israel is cannot respect others, don't wait for others to recognize and accept you.

13. Not all attacks specifically antisemetic
B"H
There are attacks that are not specifically antisemetic, but rather have more to do with the general education of the population and its behavior.
In example, drunk driving kills a lot of people and it is not considered antisemetic at all even though Jewish Cohen Aaron and his sons were cautioned against it. But many people die from this who are Jewish, even in Israel who are die-hard Zionists.

15. #4 Wisam.Israel accepts Jewish refugees from racist countris
Lebanese people from every religion, Moslem and christian, can become refugees in France, and other European countries just becuase they are running away from Hizbollah or Islamist tugs. why don't you find this strange, but you find it strange that a Jew who lives in an Islamic or Arab country or a European country taken(in the process of being taken over by Islamists) can become a refugee in Israel?!

Anti-Semitism is really matter Israel is existing or not. Have you ever meditated on that, why the world is hating the people of the Jewish community? What is the source of this? I really like to know. Everything must have a source, a starting point. What is the source of this hate? I'm really curious. I have guesses, but I don't want to judge anyone. So? Anyone?

19. Which "anti-semitism"?
In the past 10 years I have read so many different ideas of what is "anti-semitism" that I honestly don't know just what the Stephen Roth Institute includes. We all know that "the Jewish State" has and is engaging in hideous behaviors which may reasonably be expected - in the course of human affairs - to generate a backlash generally against Jews, not as a people, but as participants or apparent sympathizers with Israel's crimes against the Palestinians. Does that count as "anti-Semitism?

20. Half the talkbackers justify it, too
Apparently, Israel's policies, or better, the perception of Israel's policies, is good reason for anti-Semitic attacks. Oh no wait, apparently those attacks aren't anti-Semitic either. Beating up a Jew in the street seems to be perfectly justified because Israel is so evil.
#2, 11, 19, are you guys even listening to yourselves? Should we Americans be beaten up for what people think Bush has done? Should Hungarians be beaten up all over the world if Hungary commits, or is accused of committing, some atrocity? And then, would the beating up of those Hungarians not be considered anti-Hungarian??

22. To Susan
Honestly? I have my own reasons for love or hate someone. You have your reasons to love or hate someone too. Everyone have his or her reasons. But one man's opinion, such as my ones are not generating a world-wide love or hate. Your opinion is not generating a world-wide love or hate too, which is simply spread through the world. One person's feelings cannot generate a world-wide love or hate. So, something may have started this on all sides generations ago, Jewish, Christian, Muslims, others, which formed the individual opinions into larger groups and started to turn the people against each other. Everything must have and surely have a source. And I'm really curious what is the source of this all over the world. What has started this?

23. Satan never gives up
There is a passage in Ezekiel 43:7 where Ezekiel is told by the Lord "Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever"
This place is located in Jerusalem, Zion, the City of God. The Lord also tells him that he will not return until Israel calls him by name. This is what Satan fears. He fears that the only people on earth with power of a promise that they or Jewish Israel could call on the Lord and the Lord would come, would indeed act on that promise. The only way he can win this is to keep them from Zion and disperse them from the place where they are to call on the Lord from. The very place given them by the creator of the universe, the Alpha and the Omega. That place is the land of Cannan.
Evil can not and will not rest while God's first born (Jews in Israel) occupy the land of their for ever promise. For a day may come that they as a nation will call upon the Lord. Upon that day, evil will be banished and Israel and God's Jewish children will be the praise of all the earth and all the earth will be blessed, for they are a blessing.

24. to # 22
Honestly no one needs a GOOD reason to hate someone. Jews were hated in Europe because they were successful due to their hard work. During the plague in Europe they were hated because they didn't contract it due to the importance they place on cleanliness. Jews are hated particularly in Israel because historically they have been subjected to dhimi status in Muslim lands. In case you don't know that means they weren't granted the same rights as Muslims and were forced to pay a tax if they wanted to practice Judaism. The idea of a Jewish country with Muslim citizens is offensive because it means that the citizens (Jewish and Muslim) are of equal status. It also is offensive because it allows for a Jew to become the country's leader and therefore rule over a group of Muslims (those who are citizens of Israel).

26. J. Brown
While I agree with you concerning the "brutality" of Israel; (Which anyone with half a brain can see is actually non existant), I completely disagree with your statement concerning American policies. Yes! we have made some grave mistakes, especially in poeple we have helped set up in their regimes. but over all it has been America's policies as peace keeper that has prevented WW 3 from happening thus far. I might add, who took the lead in fighting terrorists. even though they had struck in many "enlightened" countries? Let's face it; most of the world had been afraid of the radical elements until America confronted them, then they started standing with us when they seen someone willing to fight back. But as has happened throughout history, when they face a few trials, they turn their tails and run again, leaving us to stand upon our own. Our most dispicable act yet has been to turn our backs on Israelis by demanding them to turn over to their sworn enemies; land they rightfully wone in wars brought to them. 'nough said!
|
|
27. 19 anti-semetism
I would highly sugesst you re-read the history if the current nation of Israel and the wars brought upon them. The Arab nations that gathered to "eliminate" Isreal told the Palestinians to leave Israel, with the promise that when 'they' won their war against Israel they could have their lands back. Israel didn't force these people out. In fact, Israel has been very open to allow these people to enter their land to work, opening the doors to the very acts of violence and deceit that we have seen perpatrated against Israel.
What I can't understand is why did not the Arab nations open their doors to these Palistinians, whom they themselves had caused to become homesless?
|
|
28. Why the hatred
If you are truly interested in the reasons and beginnings of all this hatred, I suggest going to the book of history which outlines the beginnings of these "religions".
In Genesis you can read the story of Father Abraham whom all 3 of these religions associate with. All the animosity can be found in it's beginning stages there.

29. old and new
there are many reasons for antisemitism but the basis is expressed psychotic hatred .jews must tread with the humble but powerful force ready to defend and attack but rationally and without unnecessary cruelty.

30. Privateer of Hungary
Honestly, it is demeaning and outright humiliating to even read posts like nos.1 and 2. So, let's forget them. But you, Privateer, have a much more sophisticated way of criticising and putting Jews to the test. Actually, you know very well why this hatred started and, on the same token, you only have to ask the older generations in Hungary how happily and willingly they hated, maltreated, plundered and even murdered their good Jewish neighbours in Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, Miskolc, etc.,etc. No sooner had your Szalassy ancestors received northern Transylvania as a present from Ribentropp, than they immediately started to round up the Jewish population and gladly help Eichmann annihilate all of them. My question is why all these attrocities happened at the hands of your "good" ancestors ? Why were they willing so much not to respect the Jewish faith, as you put it ? There had been no case of religious disrespect from any of the 600,000 destroyed Hungarian Jews whatsoever. Not one of them had anything against your Christian faith, so why did your fellow Hungarians help Eichmann murder and burn them in Auschwitz ?
Let me make it clear for you once and for all, WITHOUT THE WILLING AND VOLUNTEER HELP OF THE MAJORITY OF HUNGARIAN POPULATION DURING WWII, NOTHING OF THIS GREAT TRAGEDY WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Period. Can you possibly explain to me all these ?
Meantime, # 24, Yonatan has given you other good angles, but my question is, will you ever listen ?
