Attacks against Jews double in 2006 report reveals     Vered Luvitch
31. Countries should be held accountable.
The government of these countries where these despicable acts against Jewish people, are taking place, should be held accountable. Their Police are obviously not doing enough to prevent these acts. The perpertrators should be caught and punished.

32. communication
Emotional rumblings never do much good. People should try to understand history and theology, which explain so very nuch about motivation. Research how the major religions began -- that will tell you so much more than political opinions ever could. The Jews gave the world two documents, the Tenach and the New Testament. These are remarkable bodies of literature. They are prophetically astonishing. Subliminal understanding carries us beyond the strife.

33. Anti-semitism
The causes for anti-semitism are several fold but largely stem from lack of understanding and education of their place in history. To the shame of Christians, we have often allowed wrong doctrine to infiltrate the thinking of the church which has unwittingly permeated through much of modern Western intellectual thought. This thought is based on the same extreme anti-semitic views coming from the likes of the Iranian president. Firstly, the concept of "replacement theology" which is a view held by many that Israel was replaced by the Christian church. This view is erroneous and theologically suspect to say the least. This view focussed on the Jewish involvement in the death of Christ even though in fact it was executed by the Romans. Regardless, the true Christian position is that all humanity and not merely the Jews were complicit in Christ's death. Jesus himself was Jewish. The Christian owes a great debt to the Jewish people and must hold them in high regard. Secondly, and more importantly, the Jewish people hold an important place as the chosen people. We are rejecting the One who created all humanity when we reject the ones whom He chose to bring hope for us all. Trust this provides a backdrop of what at least in part is the major cause of anti-semitism. Long live Israel and the Jewish People!

34. #4 reply to #3
Yes - Poland (among other countries) offers citizenship to anyone 1/8th Polish. Too bad the Islamic countries don't welcome their brothers (and sisters) - 'course when they try to murder the monarch (as they did in Jordan) they are no longer welcome.

35. To #30
First of all, me and my family had no connection to the Holocaust at all. Second, as far as I know Christian Hungarians, Priests and civs are also died in some of the Death Camps. And who is going to honor them? Who cares and remembers for them? Somehow their memory faded away in the last years. While you're defending the people of the Jewish Community and I'm honestly respect this, because you're holding together and that's great, I'm defending my people. Just to know, Hungarians are not bad at all. Each of the Nations have bad citizens and good too. Plus, just to remember, if many Hungarians wouldn't help to the Jews, that 600,000 would be quite more. So before you're saying anything about the Hungarians, please meditate on this. Many Hungarians have helped the Jews. And many died for the Jews. Don't forget that.

36. The "brutal" Jews
Shame on you, #1 Aparthied, Boston. Jews make up less than 1/2 of one percent of the worlds population. For every Jew there are more than 400 non Jews. Why are we so concerned with this miniscule population? Not because it has any world beating power or agenda. Reflect on the pogroms of Europeans, people who blamed the Jews for bad weather, earthquakes and crop failures. Today after these people have been nearly 60 years in the land restored to them by the nations of the world, though their mid east neighbors have tried to prevent it, the world once agaiun has a problem because the oil rich sons of Ismael and Esau want to push the sons of Jacob into oblivion. Such a threat, these few million Jews in a world of one billion+ muslims. God delights to prove His strength in their weakness. Baruch ha Shem.

Within the educational environment a subtle movement of hatred is being fed to the reader.

38. Morons For Zion
Your rob & murder Palestinians, they hate you for it. You slander Moslems, they hate you for it. There is a price to pay for zionist crimes. Only morons would not see that.

39. They Dont Hate Us for Robbing Them
They don't hate us for murdering their children, they don't hate us for uprooting their centuries old olive trees, they dont hate us for the "settlements", they dont hate us for lies and deceptions, or the instigation of endless wars. They hate us because we are Jews.
JA ,   Burlington, USA   (06.07.07)
40. to #1 What about the Holocaust
6 million jews were murdered in the Holocaust before the State of Israel. Were the Jewish people to blame for this as well? Israel has every right to defend herself by every means possible against terrorists who wish to destroy her

41. Hey, that's VERY dishonest !
The picture of the torched Jewish Cultural Centre illustrating this article is quite out of place - it turned out the perp was a Jewish and deranged disgruntled ex-employee of the center.
