1. i want to hear from the scumbags...
who always claim that these are just harmless little projectiles. You f---in fools. You will pay. Olmert must go and place somebody with some backbone in his place. Perhaps his daughter who just had a child can move to the base or Sderot and let their kids rummage around the qassam shells. Disgusting.

2. Army base
The parents of the soldiers have a right to complain about the wholesledisregard by the Olmert government of the sefety of its citizens. However, the best protection is not moer fortification but a massive attack on Gaza in order to craete anew Israeli deterrence

6. Yiddishe Momma
It will take the old fashioned "Yiddeshe Momma" to let this evil govt. know that their primary function is to protect the lives of its citizens.
May we soon see the whole country becoming "yiddeshe momas" and overthow these cowardly b.....ds.

7. lambs headed for slaughter
Once again ,the world has succeeded in restraining the Jews from defending themselves.
Olmert will do the bidding of his master in Washington and that means Hamas in Gaza is safe.
No serious action taht would endange the upcoming nopeace conference in November is the order from Bush to SLIMEY PUPPET OLMERT.
Yet despite these calls, predictions are that the IDF will still hold back from launching a large scale operation in the Gaza Strip. According to reports, the hesitancy is in large part due to the upcoming peace summit in Washington, mounting tensions along the northern border, and the fact that Sderot remains largely unprotected.

12. Parents slam IDF
Seems to me these soldiers and their parents suffered from severe neglect by the IDF much like the people of Sderot have suffered and still suffer from the neglect of the government to put shelters in public buildings, along busy roads and in the schools that are within Quassam range. The IDF dropped the ball by not fortifying its training base and making recruits live in tents that were un protected. Much like the Government is neglecting those residents of Sderot! The soldiers and their families should join forces with those residents of Sderot and demand change, demand protection!

15. ACT NOW !!
The govt. has been pussy footing around for long enough. The time has come for us citizens to cry out once and for all, march in the streets as a unified Jewish nation and demand the govt. blast the shit out of these mongrels once and for all. Our national indifference is getting the better of us. Let's act NOW. Let's organize a national MARCH DAY as soon as possible. Who is with me?

18. Olmert is Jimmy Carter in spirit
I'm not accusing Olmert of antisemitism like the doofus, Jimmy Carter. Instead, Olmert is a copy of Jimmy's incompetence as President. While Carter was President, newspapers often printed the "misery index"---a combination of depressing economic indicators such as unemployment and inflation. I remember the 20% interest on mortgages, the stagflation, and most of all, Carter's incompetence in foreign affairs. He was the definition of a savant----a navel academy graduate with expertise in nuclear physics while lacking enough common sense to take effective action when needed. His self-righteousness was sickening.
Olmert is the same as are his supporters. He launched a poorly planned war, carried out the disastrous Gaza evacuation, and has nothing to offer the brave citizens of the Negev communities who are being bombarded daily from Gaza. Understandably, he is hesitant to wage a ground war in Gaza but there are many other options to try (including shredding the bureaucracy to fortify the schools in Sderot) and massive air bombardment of Gaza. It seems as if Olmert's lack of ability and insensitivity towards the suffering of Israelis has formed the perfect storm in which he will be judged harshly by history.

20. Wissam's wise remarks
With comments like this, the Palestinians shouldn't hold out much hope for their own state.
Survey after survey shows that they support suicide bombings of innocent civilians.
And while the Palestinians are always quick to exploit human rights reports, they always reject the conclusions of Amnesty Intl and Human Rights Watch (and even B'Tselem) that suicide bombings and kassam attacks are war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Dream on, Wissam, but with spokespeople like you, it's obvious the world does not need your kind of Palestinian state.

21. "Why base wasn´t fortified?"
What kind of question is this from the part of the Israeli citizens, be it the journalists or soldiers´parents?
Israel, and any other country in the world, can´t and mustn´t build a giant dome covering the whole country. It is plain stupid to pretend to cover the expenses when you are being assaulted, it´s like a court condemning a victim of rape to pay a fine to the aggressor.
Terror can be easily stopped by exacting from them (terrorists and their people) a price they are unwilling to pay. ISRAEL IS AT WAR.
So stop the weak and evasive thinking. Protests mustn´t be directed agaisnt our government because they haven´t fortified the whole country, the people of Israel must protest and ask why thousands of terrorists in Gaza STILL BREATH.

22. PROTECTING BASES ON THE BORDER
APPARENTLY, ISRAEL IS BECOMMING QUITE LAX ON ITS SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES.
LIKE THE USA ON THIS MEMORIAL DAY TO 9/11 ATTACKS, IT APPEARS TO ME THAT, ISRAEL NEEDS TO EXPERIENCE DEAD BODIES, SO THAT THE GOV. CAN JUSTIFY SPENDING "MONEY "ON SECURITY OF ITS CITIZENS.
ARE YOU GUYS IN THE US OR ISRAEL ?? BUT ITS NOT FUNNY.

25. to the parents of the IDF soldier who lost a leg...
Israel will take good care of him. Last year, when I was in Israel for four months I stayed at the Apropo Hotel at Sheba-Chaim Medical Center for the first two months and talked to some IDF disabled veterans there. One lost a leg in the 1967 war and the government was still purchasing prosthetic legs for him as he stayed at the hotel free with his wife during physical therapy. Another disabled IDF Colonel was crippled from a roadside blast hitting his vehicle and the government provides a motorized wheelchair and a free hotel room during hospital visits for physical therapy. Israel takes care of its disabled IDF veterans and is still proud of their sacrifices decades later. When I went to dinner with Ronit and Yacov in Ramat Gan's Gali Center, the Moslem restaurant owner would not let the disabled IDF vet pay for his meal...and never does let him pay for his dinners there because of his sacrifice for Israel. Colonel Mordecai Geffen was treated very kindly by people, too, in his motorized wheelchair. Taxi drivers were so helpful toward the disabled there, too.

26. Military bases in America need to be more foritfied, too.
The Commanding Officer at the Lemoore, California Naval Air Station saw the need for more security and changed the entrance to the base and a lot of other changes. But if rockets were to hit like in Israel, the buildings are not fortified with metal roofs and sidings and are as vulnerable as Israeli bases in that regard.
