To bee or not to bee?    Danny Spector
31. the reason seinfeld doesn't want to talk about the show
is simple. just listen to the DVD audio commentary done by Seinfeld on the show. it's crystal clear. the reason he doesn't want to talk about the show is because he knows nothing about it. Other people made the show what it is, Seinfeld himself had very little to do with it. all he did the first 7 season was act in it (if you can call that 'acting'). the last 2 season (the worst ones) he was the exec. producer, and even tho he had more on his hands, he still doesn't know much about those years. so the reason he doesn't want to talk about the show is simply because he know any debate about it will reveal his ignorance about his "own" show.

32. the press in israel are usually vultures
but in this case, i think israel is the only case where people say "everybody watches your show" and actually be right. the only downside is that.. well, actually everybody DID watch his show, that include all the mid-30s journalists who are very so happy that their hero is in town. and where there's actual excitement, there's lost of professionalism, if there was any. Seinfeld, in this case, became the dancing bear to the journalists. he could talk all he'd like about his bee movie, but no one will listen unless he would say "yada yada" before. sad. very sad. I'm for one, am a fan of the show Seinfeld, but i couldn't care less about the arrival of this comedian, because frankly, what would i gain from seeing him? nothing. and that's exactly what the media got. what did they expect will happen?

33. #32: You write that as if it were different in, say, the US
The thing is, there aren't any stories in Israel about press running celebs off the road, etc.
