We thought it was over    Sima Kadmon
1. Maybe you though it was over ....
But not all of us are in denial. Some of us have the courage to face reality, some of us don't hide our heads in the sand, some of us don't believe empty slogans & surrealistic peace processes built on false assumptions. Some of us don't believe in surrender. And some of us actually believe we have to fight to survive & that we can win. Some of us but perhaps more & more of us ......

2. More muddled thinking...
The author cant see the forest through the trees. Look, it is a religous struggle for disputed land. That is the starting point. Abbas is irrelevant. He is not the power broker, Iran and the Saudi's are. Any two state solution will bring weakness to Israel and one step closer to the religious conclusion of the Islamists, which is, the destruction of the state of Israel. Just listen to their own words. Israel is a virus....a virus that needs to be irradiated. Hamas echoes this, the J'lem massacre echoes this. You dont need a Nanny. You need to defeat the enemy, on the battlefield. You need to reclaim Judea, Samaria and the Temple Mount. That is where you draw the line. It is either You or them. It is that simple. In this war of attrition, they win. In a war for survival, you win. Do you want to survive?

3. Big Correction
In the article, the author states Israel killed 120 Hamas men in Gaza. That statement is false, 24 children under the age of seventeen died in that attack and over 50% of those killed were innocent civilians, including women and elders, as reported by B'tselem. Saying that 120 Hamas men were killed in Gaza is a blatant lie to the public which must be corrected. If not an honest mistake than this is a racist article. Sam

4. who thought it was over?
It was never over for the Right wing (50% of Israel) who has predicted this all along It was never over for the refugees of Gush Katif or the Jews who live in Judea and Samaria It was never over for Jewish farmers plagued by nationalist motivated thefts planned to drive them from their land. It was never over for the people of Sderot.

5. Maybe
Maybe Ynetnews needs to pay them more, I don't know. But some opinionists like Sima Kadmon really seem to be sub-standard. Boring, unsubstanciated analisys, faulty conclusion: How worst an article can get? Get yourself an international nanny!

6. Over - it has not started - remember the Nazis of 1930's
WE MUST STAD PROUD AND STRONG - NOT DEFEATISTS LIKE THE CURRENT QUASI GOVERNMENT! AN INTERNATIONAL NANNY - WHY DON'T YOU GO LEARN HISTORY - WE HAD THE UN IN 1956 AND A FAT LOT OF GODD THEY WERE. THEN IN 1967 THE WONDERFUL WESTERN NATIONS COULD NOT FIND THE TRIPARTITE AGREEMENT. DON'T TALK NONESENSE - IT IS BOTH SELF DEGRIDATING AND DEFEATIST - REMEMBER WHAT MORDECHAI AND ESTER DONE TO OVERTURN THE ANCESTORS OF THE PLO/PA, HAMAS, HIZBOLLAH, IRAN, ETC!!!

7. An Egyptian voice
You cann't deprive people from the right of retaliation. The Israeli army bombared and killed civilians including infants and babies.I'm pretty sure that you brought it to yourselves.Be honest and don't blame the Arabs for doing things you obliged them to do.

8. supernanny?
can't Israel clean up its own mess? and what point anyway would it be to have a mediator to a group of people that you refuse to recognize? time and time again have both sides said from the beginning that they are willing for talks to either side-from the beginning. then later you get (from Israels side) "we have said-as before- that we do not have talks with a people/faction that doesnt recognize Israel" and it abruptly withdraws leaving the other side (Hamas) satisfied with more ammo to say that it is "Israel, indeed that doesnt want peace" and sad(or happy as some would say) to contemplate violence. Though on Hamas's side I have nothing to say for it. the reason being is that other than the voiced "I/We dont recognize Israel," though in practice, they havent yet declined to meet/talk with the other side. actually they are the ones left in the dust, waiting while the other side led them on and either cant or wont decide to meet with them or not. If they dont recognize Israel, then why havent they declined publicly and with a little sugar coating or diversion (like Israel) their refusal? If all they can cook up is "they dont recognize us" and get a counteract of willingness to meet, it doesnt make sense to israel's "vision" of peace-whatever that may be explicitly and implicitly. i doubt that those last three propositions are correct-any one of them. Hamas could replenish its supply anytime. not recognizing Hamas is not making the Israeli situation any better since they carry out some terrorist activities. if Oslo was to work, then why is it not working? and if one party of the agreement transgresses its restrictions, then why cant the other party (retaliate atleast)? as for Abbas, if you keep him or loose him, what do you gain?

9. Peace talks ! with whome ?
In all cases, peace talks and ngosiations will be held between enemies , I have never heard about two friend saying, lets sit and talk peace Abbas is your employee, you picked him up and want to reach an agreement with this doll....!!! you may get on paper whatever you wish, BUT will it work? and if yes, for how long ?? Of cource, before talks, Hamas wont say, we recognize Israel , for two reasons 1- Recgnession of Israel by Hamas is the heaviest paper they have, will they give it away for nothing ? 2- Arafat had recognized Israel in Oslo written agreement, WHAT DID HE GET IN RETURN ???? sh
