Even UN resolution says NOTHING about Israel leaving all the land. Israel has already fullfilled agreement. Israel gave up Sinai. Israel has fullfilled UN agreement. Time for world to re-evaulate the creation of another Arab Palestinians state. The best solution is to cancel Palestine and link it to Jordan Palestine. 2 states, not 3. This is the best solution and the only one that should be implemented. The basis is already there.

Ban Ki-moon is just quoting the "road-map" which Israel (Ariel Sharon) agreed to so don't blame him. Blame Sharon. On the other hand, the roadmap was meant to be a 3-year process and should now be trashed together with Oslo as yet another opportunity missed by the Arabs.

Everyone has great advice for what Israel should do, but they have no advice for the Arabs. Israel is criticized for building within town limits and recently have an agreement to demolish 18 'settlements' while illegal Arab construction goes on unimpeded (this is Olmerts fault). Not only that, but the basis of the formation of a Palestinian state seems to rely on expelling every Jew that currently lives there. Basically, the UN is advocating the creation of a state that is Judenrein. Ridiculous. I dont know how these diplomats sleep @ night. Its sick.

If the UN and the West want a 2-state solution so much, why haven't THEY convinced the Palestinians to stop the violence and accept Israel as the Jewish-majority state it is. That's the heart of the matter. The housing aspect is just details that can be taken care of later. The UN and the West prefer yelling at Israel because with over 50 Muslim countries, they are afraid to step on their toes and bring terror into their countries.

UNSCR 242 states clearly both the "inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war" and calls for the "withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict" i.e. the 1967 war. Those who claim that it allows Israel to withdraw only partially conveniently try to ignore the "inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war" statement entirely and ridiculously try to imply that the absence of "the" in its call for the withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict" means only a partial withdraw was called for as if "Keep off Grass" implies it is OK to trample on part of it because it does not say "Keep off THE Grass". Clearly both arguments are baseless and without merit. Also as a belligerent occupier of those lands occupied in 1967, a status both confirmed by the UN and affirmed by Israel's own high court in its ruling on Beit Sourik Village Council vs. Israel of 2004, Israel is bound to abide by the IV Geneva Convention which in Article 49(6) insists that "The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies" making the all the settlements illegal. So no matter how you look at it, the settlements are illegal and have to be removed and those Israelis living there returned to Israel where they belong.
