First officer who arrived at scene of J'lem attack criticized     Tani Goldstein
1. He should not be a police man any longer
Clearly this person is not cut out for this job. How can you arrive at a building with a killing spree going on inside, and stand out front and direct traffic while it continues? He's a coward - and that's fine, lots of people are - but they shouldn't be in the police.
Gil ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.19.08)
2. to #1
that's the israeli police for you, cowards. the guys in blue are people who want to feel big and carry a gun but don't want to face danger.
jman ,   jerusalem   (03.19.08)
3. POLICE WORK Vs POLICE CONDITIONS
As a former policeman in Israel i know much about that kind of work here. In Canada the public respect the uniform in Israel the public don't. In Canada the police arrive at work to serve the public but in Israel the police arrive at work to control the public. In Canada the police have good equipment to work with in Israel the police have Mickey mouse equipment to work with. In Canada the 911 calls are answered by a pro, in Israel they are bumbeling fools 1 after the other no common sense what so ever do they have. In Canada the police have good vehicles to work with, in Israel they have crap vehicles. In Canada the salary is a good one for a cop but in Israel the salary is a joke. The high ranking police officers stand in front of their patrolmen in Canada, in Israel the high ranking officers stand behind them. In Canada the government supports the police but in Israel the government deprsses the police for the Israeli governments don't want a strong police force. If an officer of the law in Canada is injured or killed the police force cares for them and their families, In Israel the policemen and families are thrown to the dogs. In Canada if a policeman accidently injures someone in a shoot out it is understood, in Israel if that happens the cop's life is ruined. So what do you want from an Israeli policeman that has less training than a space monkey does?

4. ONCE AGAIN................................................
A COP COMPORTS HIMSELF WITH INDOLENCE, WITHOUT INITIATVE & WITH COWARDICE! NO NEWS HERE. AS THE REBETZEN TOLD ME BEFORE I MADE ALIAH: "The only reason why the're cops is because their too stupid to be criminals"
RIFKA COHEN   (03.19.08)
5. OUR HERO'S
When it comes to harassing , beating up or evicting unarmed jews our hero's in blue or black depending on their mission show a lot of heroism and courage. As soon as they have to face a armed murderer of innocent childeren they show caution and lack of action. On the other hand this murderes action saved them some eviction time and effort in the future. Disconnection from state with its public servants paid for by our tax money is a logical result. The state has become a enemy to its own jewish citizens . And ofcourse Franco will take no responsebility nor suffer any consequences in a traditional Herzelist corrupted way, meanwhile collecting his fat paycheck from us.

6. Oh. So,,,,,,It's This Guy's Fault
Let's be realistic. It's hard to defend against every single terrorist scenario. To blame this one police office is unfair. Lets put the blame where it belongs, on the savage who committed the crime. Next time, we'll resolve to do better. The fact is, no matter how good your defenses are, eventually someone will figure out how to subvert them.
MIKE ,   NYC, USA   (03.19.08)
7. don't blame Shin Gimmel do hold his superiors responsible!
its not about the individual police officer it is about a failing system.
(03.19.08)
8. #7 - correction
it is about the coward policeman, but also about the higher ups who hired such a jerk
david ,   new york   (03.19.08)
9. #1 - Gil, Olmert should not be PM any longer
Clearly this person is not cut out for the job. How can you shake hands with your enemy while he permits terrorists to murder your children, all the while smiling and continuing with the "peace process" while it continues? He's a coward - and that's fine, lots of people are - but they shouldn't be in the government. Isn't it funny how the Commander of the Jerusalem District Police will criticize the first policeman on the scene, but won't criticize the man who put a gun in the terrorist's hand? OLMERT MUST GO!!!!!!!!!

10. #3 - Joel
Kudos for speaking out!
