ah really and that makes it right?so what you are saying is it is OK not to apply any moral standards because the other party would do it too. Very sad logic and not one that speaks for you or your character.

38. Dear #30, guess you talked to me...?
(Though I was #26)
In the modern world people with very different backgrounds are talking to each other via the internet... – and that's very good!!
So when using the internet and talkbacking at an English-language website with global reach – expect possibly to get an answer...
By the way, when talking about extremists I didn't mean you... ;-)

You certainly know that when this guy's party came in your governement , your country was put on a black list by Europe's democratic nations . If Europe dislike him so much , why should we not ? I found some of your leader's comments very chocking . Words of praise , that's what they had , sad , very sad those reactions . I know , every death man receives such appreciations of praise , but in this case they had better abstained .

52. WTF , no tears for this guy
"Thanks" to him , relations between the EU countries and Austria were very "cold" .
We can respect opponents , but not extremist who praised this guy who murdered 6 million of our people , who said that extermination camps were only some labor camps . But it's maybe not his fault , his father was worse , active in the nazi party , army and so .

53. what the hell
are you talking about? You're blaming austrians to be nazi without even having a clue what is going on in austria. WE have democracy, we have free borders, we have muslims, jews, christians etcliving together without having carbombs or missiles flying around - so what are you talking about?

|
54. in summery
I'm really shocked about some of the comments in here. In first Haider was a human beeing and seeing his death as a big great opportunity to celebrate is agianst all believs, regardless what kind of god you believe in. There are many jews, muslims and other members of different believs living together in austria and no one died because of his religious believe. Haider wasn't a popular politician because of any commitments to the past, but because of suggestions to give more money to families, to see the connections to the EU in a new light. People in Austria wouldn't celebrate the death of an isrealic politician, because we respect other people and other peoples live.

55. To 53 and Chris 54
Look at what 41 said ." haider was a great politician because he said what people tought and believed in" . haider once praised hitler , haider also said that concentration camps were "only" work camps . Is this the feeling of Austria's population ?Knowing haider's origin we ca understand it , his ideas were those of his father .

56. @55
Show me the quote where haider praised A.H? I never heard that he praised him and you will hardly find anyone in austria who does. And it's simply a lie that in austria antisemitism is wide spread. The debate haider raised was about immigration in general - that austria has - in relation to his citicens - far more refugees than any other european land. additionally WE don't have any boarders like that http://www.borderfenceproject.com/
