1. democracy is dead in Israel
Why are the people allowing all this to happen?
What entitles Livni to do what she likes with the country.
When will the people listen to Moshe Yaalon? the only voice of reason in the country!

3. What was odd was that
with the summary agreement, a member of the cabinet can review and reject any motions or actions takem by the PM. So, what would the point be in being PM, if PM is not in full control what is happening in the government.
Which is worse, a government headed by someone the cabinet doesn't trust, or a single cabinet minister usurping the power and duties otherwise enjoyed by someone in the PM role?
Take care that democracy stay intact.

5. coalition
Now the coward and the sharlet have agreed. She sold her soul to get to be prime minister. He broadens his yellow streek. This coalition will not last led by two egomaniacs. They both do not give a damn for the people of israel only more glue on thier seats in the knesset. They will now dispence af all the money that Shas wants. And not to forget the arabs and the very far left.Who cares for the future as long as the coalition will pass the idiotic laws.Devide Jerusalem(at the cost of more money for shas)Give away Yehuda and Shomron(thats the condition of Merets)and to hell with the peolple of Israel.

6. Leader of the oppostion doesn't need to be an MK
Under the present law if Livni failed to form a coalition in 42 day then the head of the next largest party would be given 28 days.
Since Barak is not an MK he would be passed over.
Surely Livni is bright enough to know that she would be committing political suicide if she allows the law to be changed.
And why should somebody that was elected be allowed to form a government!?

8. #1 - Democracy doesn't exist in the US either ..
As early as spring 2008, The New York Times reported that both major political parties were in agreement that there would be at most 14 battleground states in 2008. In 2004, candidates concentrated over two-thirds of their money and campaign visits in just five states; over 80% in nine states; and over 99% of their money in 16 states.
So people in 36 States don't really need to vote at all.
I agree with you about Moshe Yaalon!

11. Livni soon PM
Ahh, I aam looking so forward to the mintue that Ehud is no longer in office. To get rid of this defeatist coward, liar and crook who has done everything to harm israel and yes destroy it, will be so good. Olmert is a black spot on israel's flag, surrender the jewish state,s tab holocaust victims in the heart, this is what the olmerts are. Now we wait for mazzuzz to indict. Then we don't care. He can go in drerd.

12. The Democratic Republic of North Korea, oh, er, uhm, Israel
The soviet style government Israel enjoys is a farce, not a democracy. And I say 'enjoys' with bitterness, because this system will ultimately destroy the country by allowing the likes of Ehud Barak, the Kadima opportunists, and other mindless, perfidious crazies to party as they please. Israel is not a democracy, or for that matter a representative republic: So long as the members of Knesset are answerable only to themselves or their party's central committee, rather than the people, the abuses, the idiocy, will continue.
Time to escape if you can.

democracy is for jews to be able to live near muslims in hebron, which is a real historical jewish city and in east jerusalem, the eternal capital of the jewish nation since millenia.
theocracy is not being able to do so because muslims in those areas lynch the jews that enter these zones...just like they linched the two israeli citizens some years ago who entered this particular area....these animals proceeded to gut them with their own hands and show their intestines and blood for all journalists to see.
have you ever seen a jew do this? i doubt it! many arabs may enter jewish areas, but they should do so with respect and consideration for other religions particualrly in the time of the most sacered jewish holiday of the year. jews and israelis refrain from eating near muslims on the streets during ramadan. i know this because we practice avoiding to eat during their day fast in front of them because we respect other religions while these animals never respect or accept us aqnd our right to practice it in the land of israel.

14. To Redmike: I Too Am An American
To Redmike: what in heavens name are you writing? Where is your degree in Constitutional Law? We had primaries in all 50 states, with several candidates running. Obama and McCain finally won their party spots. In the final election, Nov 4, every person registered can vote for (also) one of several candidates. The electoral college will decide, or where have you been snorting? With so much money to spend, and Jew states like Calif and NY voting "Blue" (for Obama a certainty, why would they spend more money than needed. Your comments about US, like Israel are outrageous flawed. Take a course in history 101 pal.

A Government of the self-serving highlighted by the Master of Greed and Retreat, Ehud Barak. This will be more of the same without the "brown envelopes". A person sitting in the PM's chair does not make a leader so Drippy Livni will continue to "drip".

20. Cabal of Dullards, Dorks and Dummies
What a sad and disheartening sight; watching the fools and incompetent political malpracticians rush to preside over the dismantling of Herzl's dream.
Make no mistake; these Kakistocrats; these self absorbed believers in theeir own Godhead are somewhere in the process of trying to make Israel, in it's stagnant but hostile neighborhood, into their version of Switzerland. Except the Hamasniks, the PA(still the "true PLO")and the threat of Hezb, are not Swiss. They are hostile, violent, threatening Islamofacisti of the Jihad order and have only hostile, violent and malintent towards the Israeli/Jews of the Mid-east and in fact, the Jews of the entire world.
Show me where I am wrong, but be aware my BS detection meter is finely tuned , working very well and I have had lots of practice in it's use for the last sixty years of so.

21. 1
What entitles Livni to do what she likes with the country .. very simple.
431 Kadima members, Ehud Barak and anybody else that wants to avoid an election so will join Livni.
The Kadima primaries were the biggest con in politcal history, they were the election to avoid having an election and to make it worse the winner only got 431 votes more than the other guy.
Democracy is a dirty word in Israel here its all about backroom deals and the policy is the public is there to serve the government which exists to serve itself.
