1. Germany's still anti semitic, surprised?
Time for all Jews to leave Germany.
It's a graveyard for live Jews.

2. A Museum?!
To honor Fat Hermann? Seems to me that violates modern German law. If it doesn't, please send me over to 're-educate' those poor misguided boys and girls.

3. Economic Impact
Kristallnacht ended up costing six months worth of foreign exchange, as all the replacement windows had to be bought from Belgium. So, in a way, the last laugh was on the Germans, it slowed down what imports they could buy. (the mark of course almost worthless abroad)

4. The thieves buried what was stolen, so they expected to
be punished. The Prophet Nahum in the Bible tells what the judgment of Assyria will be (Germany in modern times since the ancient Assyrians migrated there). The Fourth Reich is rising and will attack America, Britain and Israel in judgment for their sins against the Lord. Israel is Manasseh (USA), Ephraim (Britain) and Judah (Israel in the Middle East) according to Isaiah 10:5,6. When the notable horn (USA) of Daniel chapters 7 & 8 breaks into four parts, the lion may be Germany, the leopard may be Red China, the bear may be Russia and the seven head, ten crowned beast is likely the UN or the EU.
Then, after America, Britain, and Israel are nuked by Germany (Assyria) with nuclear warheads stolen from American arsenals that the USAF Chief of Staff for fired about this year, God will use Red China and Russia to defeat Germany so severely, Germany never rises again until after the Jewish Messiah comes. Nahum 2:1 tells us that in the times before the Messiah comes, the Lord will use "he who dashes in pieces" to destroy Assyria (Germany). That would be the communist hordes of Russia and Red China.
Daniel 11:44 says Assyria (Germany) will be God's tool to destroy Israel (America, Britain, and Judah which is Israel in the Middle East). The name German means War Man. But after God has punished Israel (USA, Britain, Judah) for sins, God will destroy Germany so totally with floods and communist hordes and nuking, it will never cause another war.

7. @Rivkah
Rivkah, you may need some serious history lessons.
First of all: No one knows for sure, what the term "German" really meant, it was invented by the Romans and its origins are unknown. After the invention of the "German", the whole european population was mixed up in the migration period. The tribes who run under "German" moved outside the country now known as "Germany"
Second: Assyria was never a term used for this area. What Yonah refers to is the kingdom of Assyria, which was located in the area of what is today known as Mosul, Iraq.
The only connection between this kingdom and germans is that archaeologists from Germany rediscovered the ancient site of Assur (which the name Assyria refers to) at the beginning of the 20th century and brought some of its remains to Berlin, where they are shown in the Pergamon museum today.
and @ynet:
The jounalist reports of a plan to erect a Goering "Hunting Museum" at the site? This seems to be a weird mixup. There was a plan by Goering himself to erect a museum in that area. He wanted to show his collection of looted art there, but the plan failed miserably due to the fact that the nazis lost the war. And there are hunting trophys of Goering, shown in a museum in Munich, Bavaria (for which the museum is heavily critizised).
But there are definitely no plans for a Goering-Museum in Germany today.

8. Bottle Surviving A War!?
From what I have seen/heard about him, Yoran Svoray is a good guy, however either he is not so bright, or the reporter is not as the quoted remark about "the chances of a bottle surviving a war are so slim," makes no sense. Quite the oppoosiite is the case, as a bottle buried in a dump stands next to no chance of NOT surviving a war. Short of a bomb landing on it directly I cannot think of why it would not ... Too many of our people speak with such hyperbole about anything related to the war. It was a tremendous tragedy, however, fawning over a bottle in a dump makes you look foolish. IMHO

9. 7 Era: King Solomon said what has been is what shall be...
which means, history repeats. The Minor Prophets spoke of ancient events that will repeat in the time just before the coming of the Jewish Messiah. The migration of peoples is well documented by many sources. The Lost Tribes of Israel is a book you should read to get an understanding of where those tribes are. Anciently, Chaldeans (Babylon, Iraq) migrated to Italy, Assyrians to Bavaria and Central Europe, etc. You are not familiar with the repetition of history, so you need to study up on that.
As for Ger or Gur or GRRRRR. Sounds like the GROWL of a Lion, doesn't it? Gur in Hebrew means Lion. A lion is a symbol of Germany which is composed of many tribes. Ger or Gur or Grrr when heard in a lion's growl signifies WAR. Man is man. How can you question the origin of that? It is so obvious.
God knows which peoples are the Lost Tribes of Israel and blesses them for Abraham's sake: Manasseh is the USA. The Great Seal of the USA is half Egyptian and Manasseh (son of Joseph) was half Egyptian (pyramid). Ephraim is half Egyptian and half the Great Seal of Britain is Egyptian (sphinx). To understand the prophecies of the Bible for the time before the coming of the Jewish Messiah, you need to see the peoples of ancient countries migrated and formed new countries with new names in many instances. Togormah is Turkey. Ammon and Moab are Jordan. Palestine and Philistia are Israel. Germany is in part Assyria and Ninevah which anciently was the capital city of Assyria is now Berlin because of the people who migrated there. Read also, "The Scepter of Judah and the Birthright of Joseph". Understanding prophecy is so important even if it takes time to put the pieces together because the Bible says, "My people perish from lack of knowledge." If you don't want to perish, you need knowledge.

10. Not too surprising
I spoke personally to a woman whose friends were German soldiers and had participated in this. She stressed to me - perhaps thinking it would make me less disgusted?? - that they had been forbidden to take anything.

you're right, there's no plan to build a museum in goering's honor - i've searched a bunch of decent german websites and found nothing on that.
in deed, goering planned a museum to be opened in 1953 on his 60th birthday
i'm thankful for decent voices (e.g. shefer) among those only repeating stupid propaganda.
today's germany isn't anti-semitic anymore. shoah&ww2 is being taught about for some 60yrs now - i dont get why some ppl still expect germans to be nazis...shame

14. Debra and Petra , both ignorant about today's Germany
Even if one of them lived a time there . They both think that we are still in the forties , more than 60 years ago . Of course , as in every country there are antisemites there , but don't generalise .
The first time i came in Germany i had a very bad feeling . When i saw a German , i asked myself : what has he done ? It was in 1955 , not 2008 . Since then there was a denazification program , people realised that they had participated in hughe crimes . Those who had participated , for most of them , don't live anymore . And the todays Germans are'nt the same as their grandparents .
But sad to , there are people who generalise , the same way we , Jews , were also depicted .
