The Gay community was rightly allowed to march in Jerusalem. They are Israelis and Jerusalem is an Israeli city. For the same reason, Marzel must be allowed to march in Um el Fahm. The strange thing is that while the "Pride Parade" had unlimited attendance, the police are limiting people who want to join Marzel to only 100. Is Um el Fahm becoming like Nablus, Acco and Pki'in where Jews are forbidden?

whatever it is, this is a good illustration of it. and if something gets thrown on them, i sure won't feel sorry for them because it's hard to feel anything other than "what did they expect?" for anyone when they do such stupid, useless, provocative things for no reason other than to cause problems. hopefully nothing will happen, but if so, no pity here.

They are simply going there to cause mayhem and riots. Why must the police protect them there? They want to go in, they should do it alone. Let's see how brave they are.

I therefore assume you would not approve of gay parede in Jerusalem. Or your definition of stupidity is one sided???

Baruch Marzel what would we do with out you? The court ruling in your favor , is giving you the democratic right to march wherever you like in Israel with in the boundaries of the law. I agree not one minority can deny another minority its democratic right. So please go ahead have your march, its your democratic right. Therefore Israels gay community also has that right to march in Jerusalem. However, Open House which represents the gay community works very closely with the Jerusalem Council , the police and orthodox leaders and is not out to purposely provoke others, they are not marching through Meir Shareem or by the western wall. The gay community act in a peaceful way and are not out to cause violence or trouble , merly to march for their basic human rights of which they are denied Baruch Marzel what would we do with out you ? Thanks !

They have the right to march in every Israeli place , But is it smart to do it there ? It's only to provoke some hostilities , they know it , and that's their goal . Next year , when the Gay community will parade in our Capital , no one has the right anymore to oppose this either . The same rights for everyone . And the Gays are'nt there to provoke , contrary to this marzel .

Just like we have the right to march in Jerusalem - Marzel and his group has the right to march in Um El Fahm. And Ariel Sharon had the right to go to the temple mount. All of these places are in the State of Israel and this is speech at its purest level. I don't agree with Marzel about much, but I appreciate the stand he is taking here.

His right to march IS our right to march. He wants to fly the flag of the State of Israel in a city located in the State of Israel. He MUST be permitted to do this.
