1. typical abuser's talk
projects his own failures onto others: weakness, lack of courage - old lady Olmert is the one with those fatal flaws.

2. Israel's Land-Grab Addiction is REAL Reason
Here are some facts Olmert:
1) Your country has accelerated illegal settlements in the occupied territories since the Oslo accords, and this has killed the 2-state solution.
2) Despite the Gaza unilateral pull-out, Palestine remains essentially besieged, dismembered, and its inhabitants deprived of both security and economic hope, let alone their human rights.
3) It is weak leaders like you who have given Hamas the right to thrive and exercise Palestine's just right to defend our people and lands using any means.
Now that you've shown your true colors regarding the Shalit deal, your own people have grown tired of your promises, so take a hike.

5. Olmert's Successes
- a failed war in the north which destroyed 60 years of deterence in 60 days while simultaneously legitamizing a guerilla army on our northern border which now sits in the Lebanese government and controls more than 20,000 missiles (able to reach almost anywhere in the country). All this while causing the death of hundreds of innocent civilians (include many Israelis) and accomplishing absolutely nothing
- a failed war in the south which further demonstrated the incompetence and impotence of the current Israeli leadership
- negotiating positions for future peace agreements destroyed as Olmert offered everything for nothing
- rapidly decreasing standards of education
- a health service that is falling apart
- an increase in emigration (i.e. brain drain)
- an all time high of illegal immigration under a system that is collapsing (including 1000s of sub-saharan Africans who are here to stay and which the government is still not addressing)
- a huge increase in crime (violent and otherwise)
- corruption and cronyism reaching heights never heard of before
- a high percentage of youth who feel disengeged from the State (not doing the army - just like Olmert's 2 sons)
- unemployment increasing rapidly
- a public transport system which receives no investment
- continual destruction of the ecology
- disgust in government officials
- a disgust for the State of Israel abroad (by Jews and others) as to how we could reach so low

6. Well Done Olmert. Enough of this PC criticism
Olmert, as a technocrat, was probably Israel's best Prime Minister for a long time.
He DID have many achievements. The North is in a healthy state with a quiet border. Hizbollah would have rearmed by now, however Israel neutralised or didn't neutralise in 2006.
The economy would have been in an excellent state other than for external factors. Education has seen some improvements with a lot still to be done. And Israel's southern border will eventually v be quiet, the army having redeemed itself.
So far he hasn't capitulated and released 100's of terrorists for Gilad Shalit and has proved a hard bargainer, and the attack on Syria was a significant achievement according to what we know. He also strove for peace without yielding to easy leftist solutions.
Its a shame he has been forced out of office for alleged crimes. I hope he is found guilty, otherwise Israel will have lost one of its best Prime Ministers for a long time for nothing.

10. No Israeli or Palestinian courage to say why no agreement
Both Israeli and Palestinian leaders are frightened to tell us what they offered in peace talks or why they couldn't reach agreement. If the public knew , it could decide on whether it is willing to bridge the gap. The public doesn't have the opportunity to decide because the leaders are afraid of their hardliners.

14. olmert: palestinians didn't have courage
TO NOUR, NO. 2:
Why should Israelis take a hike?
So this land can be turned back into a squalid, disease ridden, 3rd world, primitive, backwater dump that it was, before the Jews took over? I think it would be a good idea for you to get a book of photos of what this country looked like before Israel was established, and what it looks like now. You have only to get in a car and drive through the land to see the miraculous achievements of the Jewish people here. Malls, beautiful neighborhoods and roads, hospitals, schools, cultural centers, parks, that is only to name a few.
It would still be a mosquito-infested swamp today if the Arabs were in charge.
Mainly because any donations or aid they received would as always go directly into their leaders' pockets.
You should thank god it's a Jewish country.

sam you r little naiev, all the goverments around the world don't publish the contents of any agreements they made, do you know all the agrements your gov sighned, it's imposible.

16. #15 Palestinians +Israelis didn't make any agreement
There was NO agreement. Why not? How long do we have to wait before one of the negotiators looking to make a buck writes a book about the negotiations? There doesn't seem to be any sense or logic in the resolving of this conflict. The hardliners seek to bury any opportunity and the others are too afraid to speak up.

19. May be Hamas does not want peace with Israel RIGHT ???
I realize that peace treatys are a dime a dozen some places they mean nothing if Hamas signs a deal what does it get the IDF with draw from the Gaza Strip so what more may Israel offer there is nothing seriously better for Hamas if it signs Israel is not easily trusted too many corupt gangters mobsters so Hamas keeps that option open aware signing would end that option may destroy Hamas Israel does not offer much Syria too needs to keep that option open as do Turkey Iran Egypt Jordan Lebanon so on no peace with Israel is no real deal is a false offer RIGHT ??? Thank You... M. S.
