31. #30 Sorry, but it goes both ways
"One does not need to be Sephardic/Mizrahi to see the discriminative manners they come across."
Let's not get carried away with the political correctness and stereotypes. I am half Sephardic/Mizrachi and half Ashkenazi, and I can assure you that the older generation of the Mizrachi half view Ashkenazim as uncivilized barbarians and wannabee Goyim.
The Media has done a fine job of defining discrimination as the exclusive preserve of "the white man" against "the non-whites".
But try driving through certain neighborhoods in America with light skin, and then refuse to give a jaywalker his "right of way" and see how long you last.

32. As Dolly Parton says
It takes a lot of hard work to look this cheap
Kobi Peretz looks cheap and "arsi"--and there are a lot of Ashkenzim who look that way too--A lot of Israeli men have this certain "je ne sais quois" that makes them look like they belong in a bowling alley

Hey Sam, if i were you i wouldn't talk about israeli men...you are from the states and pretend to have a neat way of antagonizing others while you guys in the states dress so pathetically, so pitifully you don't stand a chance against the style of israeli men.. i am from an arab heritage and i have met a lot of israeli people , i have to admit that they are always well dressed and know how to impress unlike people living in the usa. leave your 'smart' comments to yourself will you.

35. BOYCOTT CLARA
I'm Ashkenazi and my husband is Mizrachi. We went to Clara last week to join friends already inside. They took a look at my husband and wouldn't let us in. They were quite obvious about it too.
I was nauseated and appalled at those pretentious snobs!
BOYCOTT CLARA - they're taking us back to a time we should all be ashamed of.

36. Did anybody ask...
how the guy behaved in front of the Clara and to the girls at the door? Sorry for saying, but if here immediately that unproven fact of "discrimination" is discussed, I intend to ask, due to experiences here, how the guys did behave at the door? Because a lot of times, guys like him (not all, not all the time, but a lot) behave like the king of the world and do speak out like that. The rest is ego and a smart lawyer who tells him, to turn it into a good publicity stunt! I wonder what you think.

37. Another thing...
what disturbs me a lot here, without any proven facts or anything like this, people take out the hammers and smash the referring other side. Childish and immature, thats in general a thing which needs to be solved, not only, but especially here. We would have more silence here, if you just could leave the hammer in the toolbox til a verdict is done.

Kobi thinks he is the best and expects ppl to freak when they see him.. Stay at home with ur pregnant wife, u should not be partying. If he was at least somewhat nice I would say wow poor thing but he is such an ass and I am happy this happened to him!

39. what does it matter
Why do so many people these days feel they have to run to court?? Why should it bother him so much that they wouldn't let him into that dammed club? Can't he let it go and donate the money instead to some good cause? After all he's got so many people in Israel who love him, why does he want so much to be allowed entry into a club where they don't like him?

40. #29: "still speak Russian," "beautiful women" - do you read
what you write? Cry "insult" all you want, but you are misguided. Language is a basic tool for integration, and it is largely, aggressively, and quite symbolically refused by many in this population, including the so-called "Jews" among them - along with our holidays, and giving up pork and artificial degrees. If they are so evolved and we are so low, why are they here? Israel's basic strengths were just fine before the Soviets - without their pre-Soviet predecessors and the rest of Israel, THEY would be struggling. And the fact that you are motivated by other body parts and need the goy look clears up a lot about what motivates your blind treatise.

43. Dear Number 40:
It's difficult to know where to start with you but let's take the language question first. Most Israelis speak more than one language, Hebrew and the language of their forefathers before they immigrated and oftentimes English because it is taught in schools. So the fact that post-communist Russian immigrants speak Russian is not unusual. In the Ulpans, they were the most adept at learning Hebrew, incidentally.
You must have your eyes and ears closed if you haven't witnessed the enormous contributions of the (former) Russian people in the arts, professions, business and military. And "No", Israel wasn't "just fine" without them. I don't want to go into length about the lack of patriotism exuded by the Charedim (Jerusalem) and the children of the Tel Aviv elite but Israeli society had gone "soft" and thanks in large part to the Russians we are tough again.
As to the women, it may be hard for you to comprehend as a "Fifth Generation" Jew but the Russians who immigrated (for the most part) are as "Jewish" as you. Your view of Jews appears to be sadly limited. In Israel we are light and dark, blonde, brunnete, red-headed and black haired. Some are Negro, most are Caucasian and you'll also notice Jews (as Jewish as you and I) of Indian (continent of) extraction. You deride me for loving the looks of these Russian immigrant (and children of) Jews and call me a "goy lover". There is something limited and perhaps "sick" in your thinking which it might avail you to clear up. Although I am a (retired) psychologist, I cannot do this for you but I would advise your contemplation on the subject. Otherwise, you will continue to damage yourself and others due to your obvious resentments. Incidentally, all my grandparents were from Russia/Poland. When I asked one of my grandmothers where she was from, she said (in her Yiddish accent), "Rrussia, Polan, vat do I know?" My extraction is Russian and Polish. Am I somehow less of a Jew than you?
Incidentally, it's a pity to view so many Israeli Jews being so hostile to one another when we are all Jews (incuding the Russians) and when we have so many enemies within our midsts and externally to us. I always try to remember that when I feel irritated and frustrated with others as I have been with you.
