1. Sane Rabbis
"There is no sane element in the ultra-Orthodox community that has stood up and spoke out against this."
When it comes to fundamentalist follows of any religion there is no sanity whatsoever. It is all about belief and that seems to excuse any action. And yet, when their vote is so important to the political body those actions are quickly overlooked.

2. We sane Hareidim are sick of it!
We are sick of being grouped with the likes of Neturei Karta and Eidah Chareidit. We are sick of watching mass desecration of both G-d's name, and of public property that lunatic fringe groups are committing.
The sane Rabbis are standing against it but the lunatics follow their lunatic Rabbis.

3. These crazed meshumudim are bring shame to Am Yisroel.
Put them in cherem..No contact on any level with these shtrutzim.
The house of Israel is in disaray, Its time that all frum yidden banish these hoodlums from clal Yisroel.
Extreme measures are needed to quell this charpa.

4. ENOUGH, ENOUGH
who needs these flagburning, bituach leumi sucking parisites in our country. They only know how to take. Stop their material support and let them sign alegiance to the state.
ENOUGH that we have to be held hostage by those that we feed
In any normal country that would be locked up

5. Charedim....
If these were riots in an Arab village, the police reaction would have been more severe. Why do we tolerate these riots? Why are these Charedim being treated any different from other miscreants? Send them to the Ketziot jail in the Negev to cool off.

6. Rabbis
Better the Rabbis should speak out about the importance of the community taking care of those whose parents are incapable of taking care of them. THere is too much silence about abuse in that community and not enough leadership.

these same rabbi's tell their flock ,not to work, not to take part in the political process and forbids them to participate in the elections, forbids them to take from the government the much needed financial help for their schools .
how could anyone call these so called rabbi's sane?
it is the blind being led by the blind.
and by the way,i am not a chareidi bashing secular leftist, but i am a chareidi jew myself, who is absolutely embarrased and disgusted by the actions of these ignorant savage gangsters who are burning down their own neighborhoods

10. Shalom #2
Who are the sane Rabbis that are standing against it? Can you name one who has spoken out publicly?
|
|
11. Silence is complicity
Me too waiting for Rabbis to speak up. Heard many nice people like Shalom expresing their disgust.
We need rabbis to speak.
Me thinks all these silent rabbis fear men more than G-d. Hard to say but true
And I'm not even talking of Herem, just public condemnation will make my day
So far for 3 weeks with sinat Hinam

12. Why Major Gen. Franco has not heard an outcry
Rabbis and religious Jews understand why there is no outcry on the part of our religious and leaders by and large. It is clearly delineated in our Bible.
The rabbis are guilty of the sin of King Saul. According to the Bible, King Saul feared the people. This is why God rejected Saul and chose David to lead Israel.
Little doubt, like Saul, these rabbis fear the people who live in their communities. Thus they are silent.
|
|
13. Silence among Rabbis
Why there is no voice of the Israeli Rabbanut, in spite of the evident covardice of other leading rabbis to say anything about this shameful behavior of the part of the haredi ghetto? Silence is the full complicity in this case and the government and the competent authorities must apply the law to them as they would do to any other Israeli citizens!

|
14. riots
Why ask for sane rabbis when it is these same sane rabbis spurring on te riots. The police must start using more force.,break some bones,.knock heads of the haridim and let the people of Jerusalem live in peace. Let the parasites starve and obtain nothing from the state.

15. Rav Sternbuch & Rav Eliashiv protested violence
Contrary to Franco - both Rav Eliashiv and Rav Sternbuch have protested the violence. The Mirer Rosh Yeshiva also order his students not to participate.
Perhaps if Franco had better communication with the community this who mess could have been prevented.

Those "normal" charidim , who listen to Rav Sternbuch & Eliashiv , or to the Mirer Rosh Yeshiva , generally don't participate in netoure karta violence . This as far as known to me .

17. Rabbi Calls For Protests
Rabbi Horowitz has been very vocal about this and other important subjects that need to be in the public eye.

18. sane rabbis
I go not know where you grew up and who your associates are but trust me there are more sane elements in the orthodox community than any other walk of life. Sorry that you mingle with the wrong one, you made a very broad remark which you seem to think you know it all, surprise, you will have to walk a bit more in life to understand people or maybe you are just one of those guilty souls and point the blame on others. Grow up and learn to love, its so much easier and it will make you a far more happier person.. No they should not keep quiet you have no idea what is going on and here you are with an opinion.
