It show the fact, they had no courage to confront hamas(which also run away and apply guerrilla tactics) but hide in houses and shell with tanks from long distance. Cast lead was initiated to stop rocket and morter fire on communities in the vicinity off gaza. wether or not the idf went into actual hand to hand combat(most hamas members shed thier uniforms and ran away) or shelled/ bombs targets from afar, the bottom line is rocket/morter fire has just about abated. if it takes the killing of its people to stop the rocket/morter fire, SO BE IT!

There had been a six month truce between Hamas and Israel before Cast Lead. There were very few (probably less than five) rocket attacks during that time. During the entire six months Israel only let approximately 1/3 of the amount of supplies that were normally allowed before the blockade. Still Hamas did not attack. On November the 4th 2008 Israeli forces broke the truce. Only then did Hamas resume rocket attacks. Cast Lead was initiated so that Livni and other politicians threatened with losing power could look tough on Hamas. Go back and read your own news reports. Iran did plan and still is planning to take over Israel through any means like Hizbollah and Hamas till it get the chance to finish it's atomic bomb. They did got some victory in Lebenon 3 years ago and Israel had over 100 casualties and Israel was very patient for such a long time and did not show any reaction to the missiles shooting from Gaza and Erdogan was very silent those days as Israelis were suffering in Sedrot. He did not had any objection as long as the Israelis were suffering and nothing was happening to Gazans. Israel had to stop the agressievness Hamas and the other Iranian supported terrorist groups were following and had to defend it's citizens who were suffering so much. Even the schools were closed and many were saved only through pure miracles from God. I don't remember even Once this Erdogan the moslem made any statement to object what was happening in Sedrot. To me it was very clear that a moslem leader like Erdogan who is the neighbour of Islamic Republic gets the same virus as Ahmadinejad has and join them easilly as he can not accept the existance of a strong Jewish nation and strong Jewish army and people of Turkey and specially the Turkish Army should understand very well what happened in Iran 30 years ago can happen in Turkey under Erdogan not very far in time.
