Stick to shekels    Sever Plocker
1. The dollars screwed! We owe an estimated 100 trillion
dollars between social security, medicaid, trade deficit, debt of the national treasury....and so forth and so on. They wiil keep devaluating the dollar because we can't possibly pay the Chinese, Japanese, Europeans...and so forth and so on back the money. 200 million people times $500,000.00 thousand dollars equals 100 trillion. Everyone owes half a million dollars for over consumption and bad borrowing practices. Does anyone really believe in the long run that the dollar isn't going to be devalued massively? Dump the trash bill....the Arabs are. I'll be begging to buy your shekels when we have 1000 percent inflation because of irresponsible spending in the USA.

2. shekel vs. dollar
Excuse me, but you shouldn't be shopping for cars, homes, or paying rent in dollars! You live and work in ISRAEL, you get paid in shkalim, buy cars, homes, and pay for rent in shkalim! Enough already with ripping people off by using american dollars.
Elisheva B.A. ,   San Francisco, USA   (10.03.07)
3. #2, What are you talking about?
You live in America. When foreigners use dollars outside of the US, that helps the dollar stay strong. But the dollar is still getting too weak for my comfort, so I'm saving shekels for a rainy day.
Richard ,   New York, USA   (10.03.07)
4. Red China plans on crashing the US dollar according to the
book "Unrestricted Warfare". Their warplans against America are well underway. They trained the Moslem stooge pilots who flew the airplanes into the World Trade Center towers in 2001. Then they hacked into computer systems to creat havoc. Next, they plan to crash the US economy with their trillion dollar reserves. Lastly, comes nuclear war, burning America. They have partially encircled America in a crescent of military bases disguised as ports at Pier J of the Port of Long Beach, Hutchinson Wampoa, a Red Chinese Army front company running the Panama Canal, bases in the Carribbean, next will be super ports in Canada and Mexico and a NAFTA super highway down the middle of America to make invasion simpler and to cut off one side of America from the other. Yes, Israel should stick to the SHEKEL.

5. The author is an idiot..knows nothing about anything
America is america...at the start of WWII america didnt even have a proper army..we all know the rest of the story...I say as a canadian with cdn dollars I for one am buying American dollars. I plan to get richer thank-you very much

6. Warren Buffet has been shorting the dollar 5#
He even believes it is going to dive. It could take a few years.....but eventually we aren't paying back the money in denominations that are worth anything. Even the Canadian Dollar has gained par with the crappy bill for gods sakes. Wasn't that last accomplished in 1976?
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (10.03.07)
7. Dump the paper and ink while you can!
Here's an interesting articlehttp://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=6893 When folks wake up to the fact about truly how little value the US dollar has, they will panic. But the experts keep the sheep going happily to the slaughter. In Israel, we need to use our own currency here. With the US dollars that both the gov't and people have, they should go on a spending spree, like buying Gold(In their hands, not paper promises)! and dump the US dollars. Then don't go back to them. It's a matter of time before it tanks. I got rid of mine before it started to drop.

8. Why Steve is given the right to write?
A country without exports is a country in deep troubles. Export prices to the US are in USD. When a manufacturer gets fewer and fewer Shekels due to the forex, people lose their jobs and factories shut down or move to china. Kapish?
Raz ,   NZ   (10.03.07)
9. 8# My government bill is $500,000.00 dollars.
Of which two hundred million working americans also have. You can hang on to the Dollar and watch it dive when you realize we aren't going to be able to pay the bill. It's about time foreign investors get a clue about this paper printing disaster called the US Dollar. They will print as many bills as needed to make monthly payments to all the smucks holding onto the greenback. Worthless as the Israeli Lira in the end. That's the fate of the US Dollar. As far as losing factories.......what factories? The United States has shipped most of its manufacturing overseas. It's not the currencies fault. The guy in China working for ten or twenty cents an hour is the one taking everyones job in every country. It has nothing to do with the difference between the US Currency and the Shekel. Do you really believe Mattel Toy Company gives a crap about US Citizens working for their company. They enslave other peoples to produce a product for $2.00 dollars. Then they sell it for $49.00 dollars as a Fashion Barbie in the United States. It's called blind faced greed. It's about who will work for nothing....not the difference between the US and Israeli currencies.

10. what am i talking about? # 3
i live in america now, yes, but i just moved from israel last year, and rent, houses, and cars are all done in dollars not shekels. how would you like your landlord in new york to tell you your rent is going to be x # of euros every month instead of in dollars? but you live in america and get paid in dollars, but because the euro is stronger than the dollar, your landlord charges you rent in euros. that's what i'm talking about.
elisheva b.a. ,   san francisco ca   (10.05.07)
11. #10, The Shekel is stronger than the dollar
these day. So if you are paying rent in dollars, you are saving money. Why are you complaining? As the dollar gets weaker, you will pay less money in shekels. The dollar arrangement works to your advantage. If I was living in Germany and paying rent in dollars, I would be saving a lot of money, because the Euro is stronger than the Dollar. I know that things are not right in Israel, but a weak Dollar can be used to your advantage.
Richard ,   New York, USA   (10.05.07)
12. dollar
I will stick to the shekel, but what can I do when all my savings are in dollar? should I revert to shekel or be patient?
