Western Wall

The Western Wall, also known as the "Kotel" and the "Wailing Wall," is located in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is the Western supporting wall of the Temple Mount which has remained intact since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 C.E.

 

The Western Wall is considered the most sacred location for the Jewish religion because of its proximity to the location of the former First and Second Temples.
