Dagan: Female Mossad operatives better than male

Former Mossad chief comes out against exclusion of women, says they make best figters, ' their contribution is priceless'

Former Mossad Chief Meir Dagan on Thursday addressed the recent phenomenon of excluding women from the public sphere and stressed: "In the organization of which I stood at the helm for the last few years, our best fighters were women.

 

"They are more composed more talented and braver than many men. Their contribution is priceless. Believe me, they're better than men."

Dagan was speaking at an event to commemorate Israel Prize laureate Dov Yudlovsky who passed away last year.

 

In his speech Dagan also addressed Israel's defense outlook, downplaying concerns over a conventional attack. "In my personal estimation, the threat of a conventional attack decreased dramatically in the near future and will continue to decrease, at least for the next year or two," he said.
